Company Profile

PRECISION MASTER TECHNOLOGY, INC., (PMTI), was established in 1990 as a single-proprietorship by a visionary entrepreneur, Mr. Micheangelo T. Co. As an engineer fresh from college, he established this manufacturing and trading business upon recognizing the increasing demand for blank magnetic media commonly known then as VHS and Audio cassette tapes.

The customers during that era were mainly magnetic tape duplicating facilities and bulk re-sellers who were responsible for its stellar growth. This consistent profitability easily led to the establishment of the company as it is known today. PMTI thus became the “go to” supplier for local customers seeking reasonably-priced yet uncompromising blank audio, video and data processing media.

As technology rapidly migrated from analog to digital media in the late 90’s to the early 2000s, Precision Master adopted to this looming obsolescence by assigning part of its production to shift from the traditional magnetic tape business to manufacturing CD and DVD cases.

At around the same time, and still in response to the changes in business climate, another section of its factory was dedicated to manufacture colorful and “unbreakable” disposable spoons and forks for PMTI’s planned ingress into the grocery and supermarket business.

These new CD and DVD cases and the cutlery lineup were trademarked VALUEPLUS to clearly deliver the brand’s message of quality and cost-effectiveness.

Valueplus was initially available only among the most reputable department stores and supermarket chains in Metro Manila. However, It did not take long for the brand to be accepted and sold by provincial retailers upon the deployment of its freshly minted sales team.

In 2009, PMTI further expanded its supermarket presence when it established its paper cup, bowl and plate production lines as it veered from the CD and DVD business. These new products signified the company’s response to the clamor for environmentally friendlier picnic items.

This was the same year when the company invested in state-of-the-art printing services. This new capability made it convenient for PMTI to satisfy the new demand for private labels and customized designs.

As the pandemic ravaged the world, PMTI once again adopted and found ways to continue to operate, deliver, serve and delight all its shareholders in spite of severely affected bottom lines.

The “adopt and thrive” philosophy is one PMTI’s enduring legacies as it evolved into the resilient and innovative company it is now known for.
